Regarding his ﷺ statement:
«The water of Zam Zam is what it is drunk for» – authenticated by al-Albaanee in Saheeh al-Jaami’ – no.10439.
…ash-Showkaanee said:
There is evidence here that the water of Zam Zam benefits the drinker for whatever reason he drinks it for – whether it is for the affairs of this world or the hereafter; because «what» in his ﷺ words «is what it is drunk for» is general in meaning [encompassing all affairs].
