On the authority of Yahyaa ibn Abee Bukayr, who said it was said to Sufyaan ath-Thowree:
Until when will you [continue to] seek [knowledge of] hadeeth?
He said: And what better good is there than the good of hadeeth, such that I may pursue it? Indeed, [knowledge of] hadeeth is the best of [all] the knowledge of this world.
