I fasted two days of al-ayyaam al-beedh (13th, 14th and 15th of the lunar month) and was unable to fast the third day due to extenuating circumstances, so will I receive the reward for the two days [I did fast]?

Fasting every other day
Regarding the one who fasts every other day, is that correct?
Fasting the 13th, 14th and 15th of every Islaamic month
Regarding al-ayyaam al-beedh (13th, 14th and 15th of the lunar month), is it true that the Messenger fasted them when he was travelling as well as when he was back home, or is it something recommended only?
Fasting Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays every week
My habit is to fast Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays every week, so is there any harm in that?
Discrete and humble
Daawood ibn Abee Hind fasted for forty years, and his family were not aware of it. He was very discrete, and would take his [packed] lunch with him, and then give it away [to someone needy] along the way.
I really wanted to complete reciting it

Always giving away in charity
Never would an hour pass him except that he would give something away in charity, and if he did not have anything [to give away in charity], he would [then] pray two rak’ahs [of voluntary prayer].
Shackled by your sins
If you are unable to establish the [voluntary] night prayer, nor [voluntarily] fast during the day, then know that you have been prevented [from doing these great acts of worship], because you have been shackled by your sins.
Praying the sunnah prayer whilst sitting down
I have noticed many [Muslims] from India praying the sunnah [units of prayer] whilst sitting down – despite their good health [and ability to do so standing]. So is praying the sunnah prayer whilst standing better than praying it whilst sitting down for the one who is in good health?
Privately, he would weep profusely
When Abu Waa.il would pray [a voluntary prayer] in his home, he would weep profusely; [and such was the level of his humility that] if the entire world was offered to him to do [the same] so someone could see him – he would not do so.
