Whilst in mid-prayer, if he remembered [not having made] the intention, is it sufficient that he then makes the intention whilst he is praying?

Tahiyyatul-masjid or two rak’ahs of Fajr
If I entered the masjid after the adhaan of the Fajr prayer [has been called], should I pray the two rak’ahs of tahiyyatul-masjid, and then pray the two [Sunnah] rak’ahs of Fajr?
Don’t know if congregation are in last rak’ah or not
A man entered the masjid, and the imaam had just arisen from the rukoo’ [position], and [as such] he does not know whether it is the final rak’ah or not. The question is, should he join the imaam [in congregation], or should he wait so he can confirm for sure?
Before putting pen to paper
I did not put [pen to paper and record] any hadeeth in my book “Saheeh [al-Bukhaaree]” except that I washed before [doing so], and then prayed two rak’ahs.
Disciplined and consistent
His set portion [of worship] every night was [to pray] twenty rak’ahs whilst at home and [also when on] travels. And when he would be done with them, he would write thirty five pages of his book.
The night prayer at home and whilst travelling
The portion [of worship which] Ibn al-Baaqillaanee had set himself every night was 20 rak’ahs – [and this was] whilst he was at home and [also] whilst he was travelling; and when he was done, he would take to writing 35 pages of his book.
