He prayed as if he was a pole
I saw Muslim ibn Yasaar pray as if he was a [motionless] pole; He would not lean on one leg a moment, nor the other a moment, and nor would his clothing move.
I have not seen any better prayer
I have not seen any better prayer than that of Muhammad ibn Nasr. A house fly settled upon his ear, and he did not [even] try to brush it away. And we were amazed at the gracefulness of his prayer, and his concentration and state; He would place his chin upon his chest and then stand upright as if he was an erect piece of wood.
Leading the prayer
The time for prayer entered upon a group of scholars; So it was said to one of them to lead [the prayer], but he declined.
Answering the call to prayer

Zubayd used to divide the night into three parts

Reaching the level of the Companions
Is it possible for a Muslim, in this day and age, to reach the level which the Companions (radhi-yAllaahu ‘anhum) had reached in terms of their adherence to the religion of Allaah?

I used to attend the lessons of Qataadah when I was 14 years old, and there is nothing which I heard in those years except that it is as if it has been written (etched) in (on) my heart.
