Let them know they are loved
From the correct understanding and etiquette of honouring our parents and being dutiful to them is that we make them feel they are loved by us, their children.
Argumentation
If you see a man arguing, then [know that] he loves leadership.
The love of fame
He who loves fame, has not feared Allaah.
The love of this world
There is none who loves [the pursuit of] this world, except that he has not loved death; [yet] whoever exerts himself [in righteousness] towards it (death), [will find that he] loves to meet his Lord.
My mother asks me too many questions
[It was then that] her dealings with me began to change, and her love [towards me] changed to dislike, and my life with her became very difficult.
Regularly visiting my parents
With my husband’s consent, I want to visit my parents, brothers and sisters who all live in Yemen, so if I find a mahram then this simplifies matters. So am I considered to be squandering my husband’s money by taking these visits every year?
Love him, for indeed I love him
The Prophet ﷺ wanted to wipe the nasal mucus from [the young] Usaamah ibn Zayd, so I said to him…
I love you for the sake of Allaah
«O Mu’aadth, indeed I love you for the Sake of Allaah»
Attaining the genuine love of Allaah
[Only the one] who [truly] knows [about] Allaah will [be able to] love Him, and when he does love Him, he shall obey Him.
