I used to hear the tears of Sa’eed ibn ‘Abdil-’Azeez falling on the mat whilst [he was] in prayer.

Perhaps a small deed will be magnified [in its reward] by its intention, and perhaps a large deed will be diminished [in its reward] by its intention.

The epitome of humility
For fourteen years, ‘Abdoos prayed the morning (Fajr) prayer with the [same] wudhoo [as he had prayed] the ‘Ishaa [prayer]. And he was the epitome of humility.
The love of money
No-one honours the dirham (money), except that Allaah humiliates him.

[Regarding the Imaam], Abu ‘Abdillaah al-Bukhaaree, a day would come and quite possibly he would not [even] eat a piece of flat bread, and instead sometimes [just] eat two or three almonds.
A daily diet of bread
