The pleasure which remains after death, and [that which] benefits in the Hereafter is the pleasure [attained] from knowledge of Allaah and actions for His Sake [alone].

The masjid is a marketplace of the hereafter
Indeed the masjid is a marketplace of the hereafter, so if you want to trade, then go out to the marketplace of this world.
The love of this world
There is none who loves [the pursuit of] this world, except that he has not loved death; [yet] whoever exerts himself [in righteousness] towards it (death), [will find that he] loves to meet his Lord.

Does not realise he is dreaming until he wakes up
One who is asleep does not realise he is dreaming until he wakes up, likewise, one who is negligent of the Hereafter does not realise what he has lost until after death reaches him.
Whoever makes the Hereafter his sole concern
Whoever makes the Hereafter his sole concern, then Allaah will be sufficient for him concerning his affairs and needs in the world
This is the abode of actions
This is the abode of actions and the abode of remembrance and the abode of being held accountable – the abode of this dunyaa. As for the Hereafter, after the death, then there is nothing but reward.
Which of the believers are the most intelligent?
Those who remember death the most, and those who are best prepared for what comes after it. These are the intelligent ones.
Remembering death
‘Umar ibn ‘Abdul-‘Azeez used to gather the fuqahaa. Every night and they would [all] remember death, the Day of Judgment and the Hereafter and then they would weep.
