Be prompt in repenting for your sins
[So] how pitiful is the one who is prevented from goodness in his old age for sins committed during [his] youth!
An important issue for all who make istikhaarah
It is not necessary for the one who makes istikhaarah that he see anything to guide him to that which is best for him. Rather, when something is made easy for him after having made istikhaarah, then he should know that is what is good [for him].
Making istikhaarah on behalf of someone else
And it is from falsehood to have someone else make istikhaarah for him, and wait to see something in a dream which would guide him to do [something] or leave [it].
Returning to the scholars for guidance
So by the permission of Allaah, by returning to the scholars [for guidance] there is salvation from the fitan.
Victory against the oppressors
Indeed, a person will be victorious and will defeat and overcome [his enemy] by following [the guidance and example of] the messengers.
A cause of splitting the jamaa’ah
He who follows his desires is prohibited from guidance, and falls into opposing the Sharee’ah, and [as a result] is a cause of splitting the jamaa’ah.
No comparison between one who has knowledge and one who does not
There is no comparison between one who has knowledge and one who does not, just as there is no comparison between the living and the dead, and one who hears and one who is deaf, and one who can see and one who is blind.
