[When] I am in some gatherings, there are some people who are influenced by some of the misguided callers [to Islaam] – whom the scholars have warned against…
From the people are those who preoccupy themselves with the faults of others, and forget their own faults.
In Islaam, [extending the greeting of] as-salaam [‘alaykum] is with the tongue, and the shaking of hands is an extra good deed…
It is not permissible for a person to be lenient in attending gatherings of knowledge – and exerting himself in doing so…
And it was said that he was called a monk due to his worship and excellence.
