Indeed it is my falling short [of sufficient good deeds] that I weep over.

The most dishonest of the people is the one who returns to his sins [after repenting for them]…
Show the good qualities
From the correct understanding and etiquette of honouring our parents and being dutiful to them is that when we are with them, we only mention the good deeds and qualities of our sisters and brothers, and hide their bad.
Supplicating for the deceased
[Please] guide me to good deeds which I can do so [their reward] reach my father, and may you be rewarded.
Just one extra righteous deed
Other than [the act of] supplicating, which [other righteous] deeds can I do to honour my father after his death?
Be careful from whom you take your religion
Indeed, this knowledge is the religion, so look (be careful) from whom you take your religion.
