Question: This questioner is saying he acquired some money from haraam means, and he has since
repented sincerely to Allaah.
And after having repented, I feared [my] wealth may be a source of loss for me, as I had also gotten married using this money.
I now wish to use this money and perform ‘umrah and hajj with it, so what is the opinion of the shaykh regarding that?
Response: If you have any haraam wealth, and have since repented to Allaah from [having acquired] it, but still have some left, then you are required to rid yourself of it by using it for good causes, or giving it to those who are [most] deserving of it [from the poor and needy] so you can rid yourself of it.
Yes.
