Reference: al-Muntaqaa min Fataawa al-Fowzaan – Question No.161
Question: Is it permissible to take a woman afflicted with black magic to one of the scholars to recite upon her?
Response: If this scholar is known to be upright and religious, and upon sound ‘aqeedah, and intends to recite upon her from the Qur.aan – without being alone with her and while she maintains her hijaab, and being sure to safeguard from any fitnah, then there is no harm in that.
If, however, this person is not known to be upon sound ‘aqeedah, or is lenient in the affairs related to women, or looks at and touches women, then he should not go to him due to the prevalence of this fitnah.
