Question: Is it permissible for a woman to take pills which prevent the onset of the menses during Ramadhaan or not?
Response: That which I am of the opinion is that a woman should not take these pills, neither in Ramadhaan nor other than it since it has been established to me through medical reports from the doctors that they are very harmful upon the woman, her womb, her nerves and blood; and everything which is harmful is prohibited due to the saying of the Prophet ﷺ:
«Do not accept harm [upon yourself] nor cause harm to others», transmitted by Ibn Maajah, No.2331 and 2332
