Maymoon ibn Mihraan said:
A man is not [considered to be] from amongst the muttaqoon [الْمُتّقُوْن] until he takes himself to account [to a degree] more than taking his partner to account, [sufficiently such] until he knows where his food is from, and where his clothing is from, and where his drink is from – and whether that is from halaal or haraam.
