Question: Does the ruling of the traveller apply to [long distance] drivers of cars and buses who continuously work during the day in Ramadhaan?
Response: Yes, the ruling of the traveller applies to them, so they are to shorten the prayer and refrain from fasting.
So if someone said: When do they fast whilst their job is continuous?
We say: They are to fast during the winter days because they are short and cold days.
As for the [local] drivers within cities, then the ruling of the traveller does not apply to them, rather they are required to fast.
