Musabbih ibn Sa’eed said:
During the day in Ramadhaan, Muhammad ibn Ismaa’eel [al-Bukhaaree] would complete [reading] the Qur.aan every day, and after the taraaweeh [prayer], he would [privately] stand in prayer and complete [the recitation of] the Qur.aan every three nights.

While from one angle this worship is something praiseworthy, it must be noted that adhering to the Sunnah takes precedence, as it has been authentically reported that the Prophet ﷺ prohibited ‘Abdullaah ibn ‘Umar (radhi-yAllaahu ‘anhumaa) from reading the entire Qur.aan in less than three days and nights, as he ﷺ said:
