١-الاستعانة بالله
٢-لزوم الوسطية الحقة.
٣-لزوم الجماعة.
٤-ملازمة العلماء.
٥-مصاحبة الأخيار.
٦-التناصح بين الإخوة.
٧-الابتعاد عن الدعاة للفتنة والتحزب.
٨-الابتعاد عن الذنوب والمعاصي وخاصة في الخلوات.

Shaykh Dr. ‘Aasim al-Qaryooti said:
From the means which aid uprightness [are]:
- Seeking aid in Allaah;
- Maintaining true moderation;
- Sticking to the jamaa’ah [upon the truth];
- Maintaining close ties with the scholars;
- Companionship of the good;
- Sincere advice between the brothers;
- Keeping away from the callers to fitnah and partisanship;
- Keeping away from sin and transgression, particularly when alone;
- Supplication for firmness [upon the religion].
