Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen said:
Do not be misled by the actions of the people, because the actions of the people could be based upon [their] ignorance.
So the lesson [for us] is [to act] in accordance with what the Sharee’ah has legislated, and not with the actions of the people.
