Question: A year and a half ago Allaah blessed me with a child, but I did not offer the [‘aqeeqah] sacrifice because I could not afford to do so; so can I offer a sacrifice now?
Response: The time [for offering an ‘aqeeqah sacrifice] has not passed my brother. If Allaah has [now sufficiently] facilitated your affairs, then offer the sacrifice, [because] the time for the ‘aqeeqah sacrifice has not passed.
