Which of the two is best: [that] I glorify Allaah ( سبحان الله ), or [that] I seek forgiveness from Allaah ( أستغفر الله )?

He was the most humblest of all the people
He would teach the people and have them read the Qur.aan to him. And when they would finish, he would [turn to] occupy himself in prayer.
Because of the abundance of his prayers
Abu Haneefah used to be called a stake [of wood], because of the abundance of his [standing in] prayer.
Don’t curse him
Don’t curse him. How do you know he hasn’t asked Allaah to forgive him, and He has [since] forgiven him.
When a man oppresses me
When a man oppresses me, I have mercy [and forgive] him.
Beware of the supplications of the oppressed
Beware of the supplications of the oppressed, for they ascend to Allaah as if they are sparks of fire.
Complete trust and confidence in Allaah
And al-i’tisaam is to have complete trust and confidence in Allaah; and [know thereafter] whoever supplicates to Him, He will respond…
Supplicating for the ruler
If I had a [single] supplication which was [certain] to be answered [by Allaah], I would make it for the ruler; for the wellbeing and righteousness of the ruler entails the wellbeing of the land and the people.
Thirsty and feared for themselves
Ayyoob as-Sikhtiyaanee was on his way to Makkah, and the people became so thirsty that they feared [for themselves].
So be patient
How is it that you do not supplicate against those who oppress you, and backbite you, and slander you!!?
