From the characteristics of those who are truthful
The truthful person [is one who] restricts his speech, food, sleep, and mixing with others [to only that which is necessary]…
An elevated level of manners
They are adversaries, yet he [refers to him as] “my brother”!
With gentleness and a love for good
So, there is nothing more beneficial for the heart than dealing with people with gentleness and a love for good for them.
The people of truth do not lie
By Allaah, we would never lie, and nor did we know what lying was.
Rectify that which is between you and Allaah
Indeed, you are not able to please all of the people, so rectify that which is between you and Allaah, and thereafter do not be concerned about [pleasing] the people.
