That I were to attend the morning (Fajr) prayer in congregation is indeed more beloved to me than if I were to stand the [whole] night [alone] in prayer.

Immense in reward, yet little in action
I do not know of a hadeeth which is so immense in reward, and [yet] little in action than the [following] hadeeth…
Patience whilst upon obedience to Allaah
Patience whilst upon obedience [to Allaah] is [the attainment of] a higher rank than patience whilst enduring trials and tribulations!
We are all sinful
We are all sinful, and we wash our hearts [of them] with the ‘soap’ of repentance.
So you know that Fajr has a smell, right?
A man narrated [a story] to me, that in their town there was a blind man who knew the time of Fajr had arrived [just] by the smell [in the air]; yes, [just] by its smell – without actually [being able to] see it!
Prolonging the night prayer
Whoever prolongs the night prayer, Allaah will make easy for him his standing on the Day of Ressurection.
He is not considered a traveller
That is because in both cities, he is with his family.
Wearing a single khuff or a sock
Regarding that which has been [authentically] reported about the prohibition of walking in a single shoe (footwear)…
The most all-encompassing of supplications
And this supplication is among the most all-encompassing of supplications for [that which is] good.
From the causes of worry, sadness and sorrow
Indeed, worry, sadness and sorrow occur from two directions…
