Honouring your father
Whoever walks in front of his father, then he has disobeyed him, unless he walked [ahead] to remove [any] harm from his path.
The days are of two types
A ‘good’ day, so be thankful [to Allaah for it]…
You will regret the time that you have wasted
It is befitting for the student of knowledge to protect and preserve his time, because [sometime] in the future he will [reflect over this and] regret the time he has wasted.

[And] there are some in our day and age [today] who are quite the opposite.
Patience whilst upon obedience to Allaah
Patience whilst upon obedience [to Allaah] is [the attainment of] a higher rank than patience whilst enduring trials and tribulations!
From the characteristics of those who are truthful
The truthful person [is one who] restricts his speech, food, sleep, and mixing with others [to only that which is necessary]…
The most blessed of days
The wise person knows that the most blessed of days is a day on which he increases in virtue and knowledge.
An elevated level of manners
They are adversaries, yet he [refers to him as] “my brother”!
The people who err the most
Indeed, the people who err the most, are those who engage the most in mentioning the mistakes of others.
