A good word is a seed
A good word is a seed: if it is watered with sincerity and nourished by following the Sunnah, it grows into a good tree with delicious fruits and abundant shade.
Finding fault in others
It was said to a wise man:
“We never see you finding fault with anyone!?” To which he replied:
“I am not even satisfied with myself, so how could I [possibly] find time to criticise others?”
Giving advice
There is no good in a people who do not give advice, and there is no good in a people who do not love to be advised.
Beware of tribulations
Beware of tribulations (فِتَن), for no one who exposes himself to them is safe. By Allaah, no one involves himself in them except that they sweep him away, just as a flood sweeps away debris.
Draw near to him
If you see a man prolong his silence and avoid the people, [then] draw near to him, for [by doing so] he teaches wisdom.
Rectify your private affairs
My brother, all the systems of surveillance in the world are not worth even an atom compared to Allaah’s watchfulness over you and your reality.
No joy compares
No joy compares to the companionship of brothers [in Islaam], and no sorrow compares to being parted from them.
Leave what is hidden in their heart to Allaah
Whoever wrongs you and then comes to apologise for their wrongdoing, humility obliges you to accept their apology – whether it is sincere or not – and leave what is hidden [in their heart] to Allaah…
Important advice for after Ramadhaan
So the Muslim must always be a servant of Allaah and not a servant of Allaah [just] some of the time.
