Shu’bah was the most tender [hearted] of people; he would give the seeker [of aid] whatever was possible for him [to give].

And those of sound intellect should ponder at the [current] state of the world and reflect [on this].
The most all-encompassing of supplications
And this supplication is among the most all-encompassing of supplications for [that which is] good.
Falsely accused of being one of them
And [so], I remained like that until this day, and despite that, I was tormented as a result of these [people], and falsely accused of being one of them.
My father, as I knew him
Before [the advent of] electricity, he would go out every moonlit night to read. And in winter, he would go out and sit between two steel barrels for protection against the cold!
