Ibn al-Jowzee said:
[If you are not prompt in repenting for a sin], perhaps the punishment [for that sin] may be delayed, and come [to you] towards the end of [your] life. [So] how pitiful is the one who is prevented from goodness in his old age for sins committed during [his] youth!
