صحّ عن عبدالله بن عمر رضي الله عنهما أنّه قال وهو على الصّفا داعياً:(اللّهمّ إنّك قلت{ادْعُوني أسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ}،وإنّك لا تُخلِفُ المِيعادَ،وإنّي أسألُك كما هديتني للإسلامِ أنْ لا تَنْزِعَهُ منّي حتّى تَتوفّاني وأنا مسلمٌ)

It has been authentically reported from ‘Abdullaah ibn ‘Umar (radhi-yAllaahu ‘anhumaa) – while he was upon as-Safaa, supplicating – that he said:
O Allaah! You have indeed said {Call upon Me, I will respond to you}, and {certainly You never fail in Your promise}, and I ask You – as you have guided me to Islaam – not to take it away from me until I die as a Muslim.
